With that in mind, we return this week with a look at some of the most expensive homes currently for sale in southern and central Alameda County.

In Union City, this five-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 32451 Pacific Grove Way is listed at $868,888.

The residence, built in 2000, is 2,534 feet and sits on a seventh an acre. It contains a three-car garage and a backyard patio.

In Fremont, this five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom house at 2076 Estates Terrace is listed at $4.6 million.

The house, built in 1997, is 6,815 square feet and sits on 20 acres. It has a swimming pool and "breath-taking views."

And at the top of list there's this five-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 7324 Crow Canyon Road. It's listed at $5.8 million.

The home, built in 1990, is 3,500 square feet and sits on 123 acres. It has four other residences on the property and two horse boarding facilities.
