Local Soldier Named One of Army’s 'Best Warriors' in 2013 Honored at City Council Meeting
U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Manella of Fremont was recognized at the Feb. 11 Fremont City Council meeting
The Fremont City Council honored Fremont native Jason Manella during the Feb. 11 council meeting.
U.S. Army Sgt. Manella, a member of the Reserve’s 445th Civil Affairs Battalion in Mountain View, recently won the Army’s Best Warrior Competition winning the title of Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year.
Mayor Bill Harrison called Manella a hero and thanked him for his service during the meeting. Congressman Eric Swalwell congratulated Manella on the House floor in December of 2013.
