Woman Attacked While Cleaning Spezia Terrace Home

The suspect is still being sought by police

A woman was attacked while she was cleaning a Fremont home on Thursday by a man who broke into the house, police said today.

The woman was cleaning an upstairs room shortly before 7 p.m. in a home on the 34000 block of Spezia Terrace when an unknown suspect grabbed her from behind, police said today.

The woman struggled with the suspect until she was able to break free and flee from the house. She yelled to alert neighbors, who called 911, police said.

The victim suffered minor scratches and bruising, but did not require medical attention, police said.

Officers who responded to the area were unable to locate the suspect, who was last seen walking north on Spezia Terrace toward Paseo Padre Parkway.

He is described as a male in his 30s with a medium complexion, around 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 165 pounds. He had black hair in a bowl cut and was wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black gloves, police said.

Police are asking residents to remain alert and vigilant, in light of this attack, and to report any information about this crime or suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
