Police Release Photo of Patelco Bank Robbery Suspect

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Fremont bank Thursday afternoon.

The robbery occurred around 1:40 p.m. at the Patelco Credit Union at 5166 Mowry Ave., police said. A man entered the bank and handed an employee a note demanding money, according to police.

The employee complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect ran from the bank. Police responded and were not able to find him. The suspect is described as a black man in his mid to late 30s standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall.
 
He has a thin to medium build and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a light colored graphic on the left side. Police have released images of the suspect taken from video surveillance.
