Man Critically Injured in Motorcycle Collision

Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a woman drove into his path Tuesday afternoon, police said.

According to Fremont police, the man was traveling northbound on Paseo Padre Parkway when the woman driving a Honda minivan drove through an intersection from Concho Drive onto Paseo Padre Parkway, placing her in the 20-year-old motorcyclist’s path.

Responding officers found the motorcyclist unresponsive and authorities said he sustained severe injuries. He was brought to San Jose Regional Medical Center and admitted in critical condition.

The driver of the minivan sustained minor injuries. Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in the collision.
