Early Morning House Fire Displaces 5 in Fremont

The fire was reported around 4:20 a.m.

A one-alarm residential fire displaced five people in Fremont this morning, a fire battalion chief said.

The blaze in the 35000 block of Woodbridge Place was reported around 4:20 a.m., Battalion Chief Rich Dickinson said. The garage at the home was fully involved with flames and spread to the attic, Dickinson said.

Two cars on the driveway were also on fire, he said. The blaze was under control about 40 minutes later around 5 a.m., according to Dickinson.

Two dogs perished in the blaze, Dickinson said. A neighboring home next door to the fire sustained minor damage to its exterior, he said.

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze and no injuries were reported, according to Dickinson.
