A cement truck driver was arrested Thursday after a frightening fit of road rage, police said.
The suspect, a 32-year-old employee of Tri-City Rock, was heading eastbound on Automall Parkway when he engaged in a dispute with the driver of a black Audi.
The suspect rammed the Audi, pushing it forward five feet, according to Fremont police.
Both drivers then got out of their vehicles, with the suspect brandishing a hammer, police said.
According to the police report, the victim ran back to his car but the truck driver caught up to him and punched him three times in the face.
The suspect then got back into his cement truck, rammed the car again, and proceeded to his work at Tri-City Rock.
He was later arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

The guy was an absolute fool for getting out of his car after getting hit in the first place. If some guy ran into my car and pushed me around like that -- I'm on the phone to the police emergency number and that's it. I'm guessing the Audi driver pulled some kind of arrogant stunt and got called on it. Thought he was a tough guy until the truck drive came at him like a spider monkey -- complete with hammer to change the shape of his skull for him.
