Deaths in Fremont: Teachers, Investor, HP Worker and More

Garrett "Gary" Cowenhoven: Cowenhoven, of Fremont, died July 22. He was 65. Cowenhoven was married to his wife for 45 years. He worked as a financial consultant for startups in Silicon Valley.

Elizabeth Hendriks: Hendricks, of Fremont, died July 16. She was 86. She lived in Fremont for 50 years after immigrating from Java, Indonesia.

Bruce Kieft: Kieft, of Fremont, died June 21 of stomach cancer. He was 60. He spent 34 years with HP before working with Abaxis, Inc. He was a fan of Oakland sports, including the A's and Golden State Warriors. He was active in his church and volunteered for various charities.

David Marymee: Marymee, 93, of Fremont, died July 23 of complications from a bacterial infection. He spent his career as a teacher and guidance counselor for Hayward Unified School District.     

Boyd McCaslin: McCaslin, 87, of Fremont, died July 1. He spent his career as a high school teacher and coach at Arroyo High in San Lorenzo.
