This Week: Job Help Workshops; Ardenwood Farm Animal Feedings

Find out events going on in Fremont this week.

Heads up! Here are five things going on this week that you should know about:

  • Looking for a job? Learn more about job help and training with this series of workshops that will teach you about career strategies, networking and more. The first class begins tonight at the Fremont Main Library and is held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required, so email grooshan@aclibrary.org or call 510-745-1440.
  • Fremont City Council meets for a regular meeting on Tuesday and among the items on the agenda is a report on the review of the former Apple Macintosh factory’s historic status. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Ave. Click here for the full agenda.
  • Bring your preschooler to Lapsit Storytime and Stay and Play at Fremont Main Library this Thursday. From 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. your toddler can take part in a storytime that includes songs and games and then is followed by a play session. For more information, call 510-745-1421. The event is free and registration is not required.
  • Head down to Ardenwood Farms on Friday for a chance to take part in animal feedings, where you can give hay to livestock and learn about other foods each of the farm’s animals like. The event begins at 3 p.m. and the cost is $1-$5. For more information, call 510-544-2797.
  • Learn more about a proposed project to build express lanes on northbound Interstate 680 at a community meeting that will be held Thursday night. Residents will get more information about the project at the meeting that will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Chadbourne Elementary School, 201 Plymouth Ave.
