Election 2012: Campaign Fundraising Statements Released

In less than one month, Fremont residents will elect their new mayor and city councilmembers.

While the races aren’t over, some candidates have received more contributions from their supporters, based on campaign financial statements that were submitted Sept. 30.

With five candidates running for mayor, mayoral candidate Anu Natarajan has received the most contributions to date. Natarajan, who is currently Fremont’s vice mayor, received nearly $119,000 in contributions so far.

Following her is mayoral candidate and councilman Bill Harrison, whose campaign has received $86,610.

Of the six individuals vying for two seats on the Fremont City Council, John Dutra is the candidate who has generated the most financial contributions.

Dutra, who is also an economic development advisory commissioner, has been given a little more than $92,900 in contributions.

Incumbent Sue Chan follows Dutra a total of $64,069 raised.
