Woman Robbed of Cell Phone While Walking Down Street

Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

A woman was robbed of her cell phone while walking on Liberty Street Saturday morning. 

According to the Fremont Police Department, the woman was talking while walking toward Stevenson Boulevard at around 10:50 a.m. when a man ran up to her and snatched the phone. The woman fell to the ground scraper her knees as a result.

The suspect fled west on Stevenson Boulevard and likely jumped a fence to a nearby townhouse complex, police said.

Officers responded to the scene and set up a perimeter but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white adult male about 140 to 150 pounds, standing at about 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He had short black hair and was wearing a black jacket with a pink or light colored stripe down the sleeves and black pants.
