Two Wounded in Drive-By Shooting Saturday Night

The injuries were not life-threatening.

Two people were injured in a shooting in Fremont on Saturday night, police said.

At 10:12 p.m. on Saturday, Fremont police responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Decoto Road and Ozark River Way.

As officers were en route to the scene, a victim of the shooting called police to report he had been shot.

Officers located two victims of the shooting in a vehicle on Ozark River Way.

The passenger sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and the driver sustained a minor wound to the hip, police said.

The driver was transported to Eden Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening and the passenger was treated at the scene, police said.

According to the victims, they were traveling west on Decoto Road, when a black Chrysler 300 with tinted windows pulled up alongside their vehicle.

Several shots were then fired from the passenger side window of the suspect vehicle, police said.

No suspects are in custody and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, police said.
