Two Assaulted After Mocking Attackers for Being Deaf at Fremont BART Station

The suspects fled in a white SUV.

Two men were beaten up Friday night at the Fremont BART station after reportedly making fun of their attackers for being deaf, the Argus reports

The incident occurred at around 11:25 p.m. at the south end of the west plaza when one of the suspects asked the two victims for a cigarette. Despite having cigarettes clearly visible, the victims denied having any and an argument ensued, according to the Argus.

During the argument, the victims mocked the suspects — a group of three or four men — for being deaf, which turned the argument into a physical altercation, the Argus reports.
