Thieves Steal 6 Cars from Fremont Toyota

The cars belonged to customers and were at the dealership for service.

A group of thieves made off with five customer vehicles from Fremont Toyota on Sunday, police said. A sixth was reported stolen Monday morning. 

According to the Fremont Police Department, officers were sent to the dealership at around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday where they learned that a pressure washer, a car key and five cars were stolen from an outdoor parking lot near the real of the dealership.

The stolen cars were at the dealership for service and were waiting to be detailed, police said.

According to Fremont police, surveillance footage showed a white four-door vehicle enter the lot near the detail bay at around 5:05 a.m. that morning. Four to five suspects were seen exiting the vehicle.

Police said the case is similar to one reported last weekend at BMW where two cars were stolen.
