Suspicious Man Allegedly Harassed Girl, Resisted Arrest

The 39-year-old Fremont resident was taken into custody for obstructing and resisting an officer.

A man was taken into custody after allegedly harassing a young girl and then resisting arrest in Fremont on Monday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious man in the area of Blackstone Way and Darwin Drive at about 11:25 a.m.

According to police, the suspicious man, identified only as a 39-year-old Fremont resident, was reported to have been harassing a young girl and at one point even blocked her path.

An officer located the suspect at the scene, but he refused to comply with police commands. The suspect then physically resisted the officer's attempts to take him into custody.

The man was eventually taken into custody for obstructing and resisting an officer.
