Car enthusiasts in Fremont attended an unpermitted gathering of more than 150 vehicles on Friday night, police said.
Beginning at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to reports of reckless driving at an unpermitted gathering in the Costco parking lot near Auto Mall Parkway.
Of the more than 150 vehicles that gathered for the show, police observed one vehicle, a burgundy Mustang, spinning out and causing smoke to rise into the air, officers said.
The driver was cited for reckless driving in off-street parking, police said.
