3 Arrested in Fremont McDonald’s Armed Robbery

Masked gunmen shoved workers at a Fremont McDonald's into a walk-in refrigerator during a robbery Saturday night.

Three suspects were arrested over the weekend in connection to an armed robbery at a Fremont McDonald’s in which masked gunmen shoved workers into a refrigerator. 

According to the Fremont Police Department, the take-over robbery was reported at about 9:50 a.m. at the McDonald’s located at 4318 Thornton Ave.

Two suspects armed with handguns and wearing masks entered the fast food restaurant, demanded cash and shoved all of the employees into a walk-in refrigerator where the suspects ordered them to stay.

Through their investigation, Fremont detectives were led to a home in Union City where one suspect was arrested. The investigation continued Sunday where two additional suspects were arrested.

The suspect vehicle, a firearm and the loot from the McDonald’s robbery were recovered, police said.
