19-Year-Old Fremont Resident Killed in East Palo Alto Shooting

Raymond Lewin-Phipps was found dead in East Palo Alto Tuesday night, according to media reports.

A 19-year-old Fremont man was fatally shot in East Palo Alto Tuesday night, the San Jose Mercury News reports

According to the newspaper, the victim has been identified as Raymond Lewin-Phipps.

Lewin-Phipps was found slumped over suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a parked car on the 2500 block off Emmett Way in East Palo Alto at about 10:10 p.m.

He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the Mercury News.

Authorities were alerted to the shooting by Newark-based gunshot detection system ShotPotter, the Mercury News reports.
