We have to make people aware that our State is run by public employee Unions and we need court casesRead More like today which ruled that the California Teacher Tenure rules are unconstitutional so that we can change laws and vote people out of office who do not represent the interests of the public who pay the taxes.

Something that is interesting to note is that high school grads are going to four year universitiesRead More and studying subject that isn't marketable. While on the other hand you have people getting vocational training at vocational schools that essentially guarantees them a job out of school that will make them 'x' amount of money. So it isn't that college degrees are worthless, some are. It is also said that sometimes trade school is the right choice! Makes sense. As long as we keep eroding and buffering the standards , our Politicians and SchoolRead More Boards will one day have a 100% Graduation Certificate to hang on their "I Love Me" walls!! Truth is , we as a nation spend more money per student than any other Nation in the world on primary education only to have our "graduates" rank 14th in the world......right behind Iceland. So before we run around the building and shake hands with ourselves, maybe we should take a moment to ponder some new innovations in education and stop throwing money into an endless pit!

I wrote the FUSD to ask if there was a. Senior Opt Out. The Following was there answer. Dear Mr.Read More Stein, No, the facilities bond does not provide for a senior exemption similar to our parcel tax. The proposed bond is a Proposition 39 General Obligation Bond. There is no provision in the law to exempt seniors. Our Board of Education is always sensitive to the needs of seniors and expressed an interest in exempting seniors. Unfortunately, the district does not have legal authority to do so. While the bond will increase taxes for Fremont residents and businesses, it is important to understand that our community has strong property values because we have excellent schools. The proposed bond will address some of the most urgent needs to repair school facilities. Respectfully, Jim Morris I will not be voting for this. I think it is cruel to make Seniors on a fix income to raise there house payments substantialy. I will be working to defeat the Bond Measurre that will be on the June Ballot.

I have a friend who would walk their child into school every day...her kid would leave as soon asRead More her mom left...I feel it's not fair to make people pay when their kids miss school...Both parents have to work to pay the bills and they can't stay at school all day to make sure their kids can't leave...What are we to do make school a jail??? Stop punishing parents for something they can't control...
