The loss of one person touches so many. while it might seem at times as if there is no reason forRead More continuing on. The gap left where you once stood is hard to fill and often never can be filled enough. So if you're reading this and you have doubts as to your worth, trust me. Your single contribution to even a single persons life who you have not yet met will more then compensate for trudging through the hard times of today. You very well could be the reason someone else finds their strength to get up the next day. Every day can be new and fresh, but you have to find the courage to seek it. Hearts go out to the family & friends & all who have been touched by this.

The teachers belong to a left wing union. They only support radical concepts like killing babiesRead More etc....no more money for them..

Why believe anything the educators say. Pass the lottery so that parents won't have to pay for allRead More of the extras. The money was used for teacher's salaries and we still write checks for hundreds of dollars at the beginning of each school year. Teachers put out a list of wants for the year that include paper towels and Kleenex. We need a school bond so that we can buy new roofs and air conditioners. (This scam has worked twice since my kids have attended Fremont schools. Sex education is pre-viewed for parents. A different edition is presented to our kids. Mission High School has numerous AP classes. The others one or two. Almost all bus service has been cut. Those remaining have to shell out $$$$. Look in your child's class room. The district spends about $9000 per student. 25 kids x $9k = $225,000 per class room. Even if the salary/CSTERS cost per teacher is $150,000 the district is still making $75K profit on each classroom in the district. Show me where the money goes. These schools have been paid for a long time ago. Ardenwood and Forest Park were paid for by the home developer. More than 214 teachers have retired, its just that some still show up to the classroom and put a DVD in the player.

Some other facts: -214 teachers have retired from FUSD since 2008. Who will replace them and theRead More additional ones who left for better pastures? There is a national shortage of new teacher candidates. -A BEGINNING teacher in Pleasanton starts with $6000 more in salary. I've lost count of the district STAFF and ADMINS who have quit to go work for Pleasanton.

The entitlement population does not respect education. As long as they get their free Obamaphones,Read More healthcare (which will be crappy--that's why congress is trying to EXEMPT themselves) etc etc---why learn anything? Big Brother takes care of everything.

Why is it, that the Mission San Jose schools are recognized year after year as distinguished whileRead More the rest of the school district suffers? When will FUSD focus on the other schools that are not,,,,in the most expensive, least diverse MSJ area? Shame

For those interested in how much money goes to California education system from the CaliforniaRead More Lottery please see the following link. One needs to remember, when the lottery started and made the promise that funds would roll to education, the lottery commision could not dictate how the funds were spent. Instead of becoming "extra" money, the lottery proceeds become budgeted income. Just think where your property taxes would be without the money flowing from the lottery. http://www.calottery.com/giving-back/how-much-money

"While teachers say they are “fed up” with the constant sacrifices and overcrowdingRead More classrooms, Fremont Unified Superintendent James Morris told the Argus that the district must remain frugal." I see, comments from teachers are diminished with quotes. [“fed up”], but administration comments are taken as law. Teachers haven't had a valid contract for FIVE YEARS. The district LOVES paying us at 2008 levels, Even though thier reserve is at 5 times that required by law.

This is Paul Landucci. Coach Ingram taught us to be uncomprimising in all aspects of life. I stillRead More apply his principles of hard work, intergity and execution to all apects of my work and family life. I played '70 to '73. I Graduated in 74. I know he is in heavenwith John Woodcock('72), who went on to 5 college all allstar games and played for the (Detroit Lions and San Diego Chargers)...probably telling John "If hold up your all league certificate maybe the oppostion will lie down for you!" He used to scream that at John, when John would start to let off a bit in practice. He taught me a lot and I am forever grateful. BTW...I am in the Sacto region....Has the service already happened? I've heard nothing, can someone let me know when the service is?

I was a former player of Coach I's and I think I can speak from experience that he was a remarkableRead More man. As far as the cowardly comment buy a anonymous individual, You need to take off your pink panties and grow a pair! You waited how many years to make snide comments without putting a name attached to it? Everything you said was far from true. Coach I was a firm believer in execution, footwork, hand placement, and repetition. He didn't need to run trick plays. His offense was designed to punish defenses the old school way. His passion for football and the love of the game fueled so many. He scouted opposing teams down to the science. He turned many average talented teams into championship teams. What separates him from the rest was his concern off the field for his players. Coach I is an icon and legend. He deserves all the credit in the world! I was blessed to have a mentor like him. His passion for the game of football lives through me and thousands of others who had the pleasure of being coached by him. Thank you Coach Jim Ingram, we will meet again. Johnny Parra c/o 2000
