CANDLE LIGHTERS GHOST HOUSE

Where/When: 39169 Fremont Blvd. (at the Hub) in Fremont; Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. 

Why Go: This popular local family-friendly attraction features a tour of the ghost house, games, face painting, caramel apples and more. 

Price: $3; game tokens are 25 cents each

BISON BREWING TAKEOVER

Where/When: California Craft Beer, 43377 Mission Blvd. in Fremont; Friday at 5 p.m.

Why Go: This one's just for the beer lovers. Berkeley-based Bison Brewing will take over the California Craft Beer taps to feature their unique creations, including their Honey Basil Ale, Chocolate Stout, Hop Cuvee and Organic Gingerbread Ale

HALLOWEEN COSTUME KARAOKE NIGHT

Where/When:
 Love at First Slice Pizza 36601 Newark Blvd. in Newark; Friday starting at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Everyone dressed in costume will receive drink and pizza specials. Plus, there's free karaoke all night and candy for children.

Price: Free

HALLOWEEN COMIC FEST

Where/When: Comic and Figure Addicts, 3902 Smith St. in Union City; Saturday from noon to 7 p.m.

Why Go: Stop by and pick up free comics -- while supplies last. There will also be a storewide sale on all of the specialty shop's products which include comics and graphic novels to rare and collectible toys. 

Price: Free

FREMONT RUN 4 EDUCATION

Where/When: Lake Elizabeth in Fremont; Sunday starting at 9 a.m.

Why Go: Break a sweat and raise money for local schools. The event features a 5K and 10K fun run, a half-mile kids’ run and a quarter-mile run for children 5 and under.

Price: $35 for the 5K/10K races; $25 for kids’ races
