Whole Foods Grand Opening
The Fremont Whole Foods Market, located at 3111 Mowry Ave., will celebrate its grand opening this Wednesday with a bread-breaking ceremony by Mayor Bill Harrison at 9:45 a.m. The store will open at 10 a.m. The first 250 shoppers will receive a gift bag stuffed with the store’s signature items.
Girl Scout Information Night
Curious about the Girl Scouts? Learn everything you need to know Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Niles Elementary School, 37141 Second St. in Fremont's Niles district. The informational meeting is being hosted by the Coyote Hills Service Unit of Fremont, Union City and Newark.
SAVE's 11th Annual Eye Opener Breakfast
Help support SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments) -- a critical community organization providing a variety of services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence -- this Friday at 7:30 a.m. during their annual breakfast fundraiser. The event will explain the different ways the community is impacted by domestic violence and how victims can become survivors. It will be held at the Newark/Fremont Hilton (39900 Balentine Dr. in Newark). Tickets are $75.
See a special screening of "Change: The LifeParticle Effect" this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fremont Main Library. The documentary explores the relationship between consciousness and matter to empower viewers.

Fremont Junior Team Tennis League
Looking for a good way for your child to teach your child a challenging new sport? Sign up for Euro School of Tennis' six week program. The program will teach children ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 14 tennis fundamentals. Lessons will be taught at the Glenmoor Tennis Center at 38350 Alta Dr. in Fremont, beginning this Sunday.
