Do Fremont High School Students Feel Safe on Campus?

A new website compiles heaps of data looking at the mental and physical well-being of the state's youth.

Written by Alex Gronke

Only one out of every 18 high school juniors in Fremont reported feeling unsafe at school, according to a 2010 survey of students statewide.

That’s just one detail gleaned from a mountain of information available on a new website looking at the physical and mental health of California’s youth. Drawing from a variety of sources, including the California Healthy Kids Survey and the state Department of Educationkidsdata.org aims to promote “the health and well being of children by making trustworthy information easily accessible.”

Kidsdata is a project of the Lucile Packard Foundation For Children's Health, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
