Community Bowls Together For 'Dollars for Scholars'

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce's program awards scholarships to local students

 

Numerous community members gathered last weekend to raise money for local students.

A bowl-a-thon was held Saturday for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce's "Dollars for Scholars" program.

The program "awards scholarships to help students in the communities of Fremont, Union City, Newark, Sunol and Milpitas, within the state of California, who plan to go to postsecondary education," according to the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page

Ten teams participated and donations are still being collected, according to an email newsletter from the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. Read more about the Dollars for Scholars program by clicking here
