What Do You Want in Downtown Fremont?

City seeks community input on downtown Fremont amenities in an online forum.

City leaders want to know: What would you like to see in Fremont's downtown?

The city is asking for community members to speak up about what amenities they would like in the city's downtown area, according to the fremont.gov.

According to the city website, the downtown area is made up of 110 acres anchored by Fremont City Hall and spreads from Fremont Boulevard to Paseo Padre Parkway in between Mowry Avenue and Walnut Avenue.

City councilmembers approved a Downtown Community Plan in August, and, according to the city website, that plan will act as a guideline on how the downtown area will be developed. Click here to view the Downtown Community Plan.

So far, the online forum has generated approximately 30 comments from residents who have expressed the need for more shopping, entertainment and dining options as well as a performing arts center. Read Fremont residents’ comments here.
