Elections 2012: Fremont Candidate Forums

A list of candidate forums for the 2012 elections in Fremont.

Fremont residents will have a chance to hear from individuals hoping to become the city’s new mayor in the next two weeks.

This week, a will be held in the Mission San Jose area on Friday night and the community will be invited to ask questions to candidates in this year’s mayoral, city council and school board races

Attendees are asked to arrive by 6:45 p.m. in room C120 on the campus. The forum will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and be divided into three portions:

  • Mayoral Candidates from 7 p.m. to 7:40 p.m.
  • City Council Candidates from 7:40 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. 
  • School Board Candidates from 8:20 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The , along with the District Business Associations, will hold the first of several forums next week.

On Wednesday, Sept. 19, a will be held at the Fremont Adult School at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the general public. Fremont Adult School is located at 4700 Calaveras Blvd.

The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City will hold several forums for candidates running for the 25th State Assembly, Fremont Unified School Board of Education, Fremont mayor and Fremont City Council.

Forums, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City, are scheduled as follows:

at the Fremont Unified School District Board Room, 4210 Technology Dr.

  • 7 p.m.: 25th State Assembly Candidates
  • 7:45 p.m.: Fremont Unified School Board Candidates

at Fremont Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Ave.

  • 7 p.m.: Fremont Mayoral Candidates
  • 8 p.m.: Council Candidates
