A driver ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, causing one of them to turn on its side and knock down a traffic light this morning, police said.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. in the busy intersection of Blacow Road and Central Avenue.
No injuries were sustained, said Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
A traffic light in the median of the intersection was knocked down, leaving live wires exposed, according to Bosques.
Crews were en route to repair the light as of 9:15 a.m.
A westbound lane on Blacow Road was still blocked but Bosques said the scene should be cleared by 9:30 a.m.
