Prison Bus Carrying 36 Inmates Hit on I-880

No injuries were reported.

A California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation bus carrying 36 inmates was hit by a car on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No injuries were reported after the car spun out and hit the prison bus around 1:30 p.m. near Mowry Avenue, according to the CHP.

The inmates were kept inside the bus, which was only nicked in the accident, according to the CHP.
