Police Seeking Burglars Who Ransacked Home, Taking Cash, Jewelry, Electronics

The burglary occurred in the 4100 block of Ardo Street

Police are looking for burglars who stole cash, jewelry and electronics from a Fremont home on Wednesday.
 
Officers took down a report of a residential burglary in the 4100 block of Ardo Street that happened between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
 
The suspects had entered the home by prying open a side garage door, according to police. The door from the garage into the home appeared to be forced open and the suspects had ransacked all the bedrooms, police said.
 
A resident in the area told officers that a suspicious man and car were in the neighborhood around 2:30 p.m., police said.
 
The man was described as Italian or Greek, about 18 to 20 years old standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood on, dark colored pants and a backpack.

The vehicle was described as a gray Toyota minivan with mag wheels and a New York license plate. The license plate number may have included a C or G1948.
