Fremont police released photos of a man who smashed car windows with a golf club outside of a gym last month and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.
The incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 17 in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness club at 39300 Paseo Padre Parkway.

The suspect, a man around 40 years old, used the golf club to break the front and back driver's side windows of a vehicle, then reached inside and rummaged through personal belongings inside the car, police said. He was seen driving away in a Ford SUV and had not been found as of today, according to police.

However, a witness took several photos on his smartphone of the crime in progress and police have released the images in the hope of identifying the suspect.

Anyone with information about the suspect or case is asked to call the Police Department's investigative unit at (510) 790-6900.
