  • Car swiped during smog. A 2008 white Scion, brought to a smog station on the 300 block of Mowry Avenue by a car dealership employee who left the keys in the auto, was stolen by a man, described as white, in his 20s, with brown hair cut in a flat-top. He was last spotted driving eastbound on Mowry. Complaining of pain, he was taken to a hospital, where a warrant to draw blood led to another round of the man screaming obscenities at officers and medical staff. Once cleared, he was booked at Santa Rita Jail, Dublin, for: felon in possession of a firearm, police obstruction; battery on officer; DUI; and illegal possession of a firearm.
