Photos Released of Attempted Murder Suspect

On Oct. 14, a man exited a vehicle, ran toward a victim, fired one round in his direction and fled. Photographs of the suspect and suspect vehicle were just released.

The Fremont Police Department's Robbery/Homicide Unit is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect responsible for a shooting earlier this year.

On October 14, 2013 at approximately 10:30 a.m., an attempted murder occurred at near the intersection of Lake Tana and Echo Lake in Fremont, Ca.  The suspect (picture attached) exited a vehicle, ran towards the victim and fired one round in his direction. The shot missed the victims head by inches.  The suspect ran back to his vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is an unknown race male, thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and black mask covering parts of his face.  The vehicle appears to be a silver 4-door.

Video surveillance of the incident was captured.  Attached are still shots of the suspect and the vehicle.  We have additional video of the vehicle and suspects which are currently being withheld due to investigative reasons.  The suspect is the male standing in front of the bushes in the middle of the photo.  The suspect vehicle is pictured in the upper right hand portion of that same photo (parked along the curb) and also in the second photo.
