Man Arrested After Allegedly Trying to Burglarize Commercial Complex

The burglary occurred around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning.

A 54-year-old man was arrested for attempting to burglarize a commercial complex in Fremont early Sunday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a report by a security guard of a break-in at a commercial complex in the 39000 block of Paseo Padre Parkway around 3:05 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Officers found the man in the second floor of the complex and surrounded the building, police said. At first the man refused to exit a locked office, but he later complied with orders to surrender to authorities, according to police.

His name was not immediately available. The Fremont Fire Department also assisted at the scene by supplying a ladder truck to clear the rooftop of the complex, police said.
