Update: One Injured in Head-on Collision on Mission Boulevard

Several vehicles were involved but only one person was transported to the hospital.

One person was transported to the hospital after a head-on collision on Mission Boulevard this morning, police said.

According to the Fremont Police Department, the multiple-vehicle accident occurred at about 9:25 a.m. on Mission Boulevard between Mill Creek Road and Telles Lane

Several vehicles were involved but only one person received visible injuries, said Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.

Two vehicles — a Cadillac sedan and an Oldsmobile — received major front-end damage and had to be towed.

The accident blocked southbound traffic on Mission Boulevard for more than hour.

The scene of the accident was cleared around 11 a.m., police said.
