UPDATED: Roads Reopened After Gas Leak in Fremont

Update: 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014:

The gas leak advisory was canceled at 2:59 p.m. and officers were in the process of re-opening the roads.

Fremont Police asked area residents to stay out of the area of Landing Parkway between Fremont Boulevard and Warren Avenue due to a gas leak on Tuesday afternoon.

Police sent out an alert at 2:45 p.m. stating that "no pedestrian or auto transit will be allowed in the area for at least the next two hours, unless otherwise notified."

PG&E and Fremont Fire were on-scene working to resolve the issue at the time of the alert. 

The power company reported the leak at 1:15 p.m. and estimated a restoration of service at 4:15 p.m.
