From the City of Fremont

The Fremont Fire Department Smoke Detector Program is seeking adult volunteers to install smoke detectors in the homes of the elderly, disabled, and low income families.

The ideal volunteer will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and have the ability to safely climb a ladder and use a cordless drill to install detectors.

The hours per week will be determined based on demand; however, it typically averages eight hours to 10 hours per week.
