Emeryville Man Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash that Killed Union City Marine to be Arraigned

Alexander Yohn, 23, is scheduled to appear at the Fremont Hall of Justice today at 2 p.m.

Alexander Yohn, a 23-year-old Emeryville man, is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. today in connection with a crash that killed Andrew Silva of Union City, a U.S. Marine who had recently returned from Afghanistan, in Fremont early Tuesday morning.

The arraignment will occur in Department 604 at the Fremont Hall of Justice at 39439 Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont.

Fremont police have arrested Yohn on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run causing death.

The Alameda County District Attorney's Office will file formal charges against Yohn before he appears in court.
