Citizens Stop Man from Hanging Himself in Park
The man was transported to a hospital following the incident.
A group of citizens prevented a man from committing suicide at a Fremont park Monday, police said.
According to the Fremont Police Department, the agency received multiple calls about a man trying to hang himself from a tree at “a highly visible location” at Warm Springs Park.
Several concerned citizens quickly came together to hold the man up while others cut the rope. The man did not suffer serious injuries because of the citizens' intervention.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the man to a hospital for evaluation.
