3 Fremont Men Among 4 Arrested on Suspicion of Growing Marijuana

Authorities in Alameda County announced today they arrested four suspected pot farmers last week and confiscated nearly 700 marijuana plants after an investigation in Fremont, Hayward and Union City.
 
The Fremont Police Department has identified the suspects arrested on July 11 as Justin Chen, 37, Tung Low, 39, Hui Zhao, 33, of Fremont, and Pang Chan, 41, of San Leandro.
 
In addition to marijuana, police report confiscating five grams of cocaine, more than $22,000, and a 2014 Honda Odyssey as part of the investigation. The investigation was conducted by the Southern Alameda Major Crimes Task Force, which includes agents from the state Department of Justice, Fremont, Union City and Newark police, Alameda County Probation, and the California Highway Patrol.
