HERS Breast Cancer Foundation is excited to announce that they were awarded a $10,000 grant by Fremont Bank Foundation last week. Fremont Bank is celebrating 50 years of serving local communities, and they are showing their appreciation by giving away over $1 million to local nonprofits this year. More than 50 grants were awarded at Fremont Bank’s 50th Anniversary reception on May 15. HERS Breast Cancer Foundation was honored to attend the celebration alongside their fellow grantees from Bay Area community organizations and colleagues from the Fremont Bank Foundation. HBCF is deeply grateful for this generous grant; it will help them provide support services and products to breast cancer survivors, regardless of their financial status. At their two program stores in Washington Hospital in Fremont and in the Stanford Cancer Center, talented and caring specialists equip survivors with specialty undergarments, wigs, lymphedema sleeves, and other products that aid healing after surgery and treatment.
