Silicon Valley Business Journal Selects Dr. Vera Packard as a Woman of Influence

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation Executive Director, Dr. Vera Packard, has been named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2013 list of influential women in the Bay Area.

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) is proud to announce that Executive Director, Dr. Vera Packard, has been named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2013 list of influential women in the Bay Area. The award ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Each year the Silicon Valley Business Journal honors the 100 most influential women, recognizing them for their leadership and contributions to the community. Honorees are selected from the private, public and nonprofit sectors. All Women of Influence honorees will be profiled in the April 5, 2013 issue of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and be honored at an awards dinner in May.

Since Dr. Packard joined HBCF in 2008, the organization has grown significantly with great success throughout the Bay Area. HBCF has served thousands of individuals, who otherwise would not be able to afford the necessary products for recovery such as bras, lymphedema garments and prosthesis. The organization provides its services and support to everyone regardless of financial status, and never turns anyone away.

We are very proud of Dr. Packard and grateful that she is such a big part of the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information about HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, visit http://hersbreastcancerfoundation.org, or follow the company on Twitter at @HBCF_SFBayArea.
