Ohlone for Kids - Writing Wonders at Ardenwood Elementary

WRITING WONDERS
(Grades 2-3)
This unique course offers children the opportunity to engage in a variety of word games and writing exercises designed to awaken their creative passions and instill confidence in their ability to generate ideas for the page. During the nine week program, children will learn that writing is not a stiff, structured subject, but a vital and powerful means for self-expression. That is, they’ll learn that writing is fun, and something they CAN do.
Time: 1:20 PM – 2:20 PM
Session 1: October 16-December 11 (No class Nov. 27)
Session 2: January 29-March 19
Session 3: March 26-May 21 (No class April 23)

WRITING WONDERS
(Grades 4-6)
Does your child have a vibrant imagination, but trouble expressing it in writing? Does s/he think writing is a boring, a chore, or something s/he can’t do? This upper grade version of our Writing Wonders course provides students with the opportunity to engage in word games and writing exercises that will stimulate their creativity and boost their academic confidence. Most important, it’ll help your child learn to love writing. And the child that likes to write will write more, and in turn, will improve his writing skills.
Time: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Session 1: October 16-December 11 (No class Nov. 27)
Session 2: January 29-March 19
Session 3: March 26-May 21 (No class April 23)

Ardenwood Elementary After School Enrichment Programs

THE PROGRAM
Ohlone for Kids in partnership with Ardenwood Elementary School is proud to offer three sessions of after school enrichment classes in writing.

LOCATION
All workshops will be held at Ardenwood Elementary located at 33955 Emilia Lane, Fremont, CA 94555.

REGISTRATION & FEES
•Ardenwood Elementary After School registration is conveniently located online at www.ohloneforkids.com. All course fees are $100.00 per class in addition to a $5.00 materials fee. Please register at least 3 days before the start date of class.

EXPECTATIONS & SUPERVISION
•Students are expected to behave in a manner that is courteous and appropriate for an enrichment learning environment.
•Some light homework may be expected once per week. This homework is designed to enrich through observation and creation and should not demand more than 15-30 minutes of time.
•Children will only be fully supervised during their scheduled class times.
•Children must be picked up from classrooms as soon as class ends. Ohlone for Kids reserves to right to cancel enrollments for habitual late pick-ups.
