Beat the late summer heat with a frozen treat at Fremont’s new Nirvanaah. The new eatery specializes in frozen desserts with an Indian flair, such “Kulfi-Koolers” and rose petal, saffron and cardamom ice cream flavors. A little election time tie-in here: Staples, the office supply chain that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney helped launch, opened a second Fremont store this summer at the Fremont Hub next to Radio Shack. Fremont’s original Staples is located on Boscell Road.
