In Photos: Prayers for Newtown, Sandy Hook Elementary

Fremont's Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose held a vigil for the victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.

The lives of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy were remembered Friday at an interfaith vigil hosted by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose.

One candle was lit for each of the victims of the mass school shooting as their names were read aloud. Tears surfaced and church officials called for a gathering of thoughts in remembrance of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings. 

The  left 27 dead, including 20 children, at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
