Candle Lighters' Ghost House Opens Next Week

The annual haunted house opens Oct. 13.

Ready for a haunting time? If so, head out to the Candle Lighters’ Ghost House this Halloween season. The 43rd annual Candle Lighters’ Ghost House is ready for those ready for a scare.

The Ghost House, which is the oldest Halloween Tri-Cities tradition, opens Saturday, Oct. 13 and will remain open through Oct. 30.

The nightly events will feature haunted house tours, food, games, caramel apples and witches. Tours of the house cost $3 per person and game tickets are $0.25 each, according to a press release.

Hours of operation are:

  • Monday to Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  
  • Friday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Scardy Tour on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.
  • Kiddie Costume Party, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.

Candle Lighters’ Ghost House operates out of the Chadbourne Carriage House at the Fremont Hub Shopping Center, 39169 Fremont Blvd.

The Candle Lighters ia a non-profit organization of women from the Tri-Cities and the annual Ghost House is operated each year to generate funds for locally based nonprofit organizations.
