Community Corner

You're Invited to SAVE's Open Doors

SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments) invites you to Open Doors, a free community education and outreach event on April 25th from noon to 1:30 pm at the Nakamura Clinic in Union City.

Open Doors will enlighten you about domestic violence and how SAVE helps survivors step away from violence and cross the threshold into new lives of peace. SAVE staff members will discuss our wide array of free services, including counseling, emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline and much more. In addition, a former SAVE client will share her inspiring story of survival and triumph, there will be a Q&A session, and lunch is included.

Domestic violence is no longer "a private family matter"; it is a crime that affects not just the victims and their loved ones but entire communities. At Open Doors you will discover how you can make a difference in the lives of others. Please note that registration is required for this free event.
