By Peggy Su
On Saturday, April 13th, Choi’s Martial Arts will host its 15th Annual Break-a-thon fundraiser benefiting Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. Last year, one hundred Tae Kwon Do students joined together to raise over $14,000. 100% proceeds will go directly to life-saving pediatric research.

The spirit of Tae Kwon Do is to develop oneself physically, mentally, and spiritually. At Choi’s Martial Arts, Grand Master Alexander E.J. Choi encourages his students to apply their increased abilities into their daily lives. The Annual Break-a-thon is an excellent example of that philosophy put into action. Students from ages 4 and up realize how their combined efforts can make a tremendously positive impact on the lives of others.
Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland is dedicated to providing the finest care to children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
