It doesn't matter if YOU think the technology isn't as intrusive as people think. It is theirRead Moreresta urant and they get to impose the rules they choose. If you don't like to frequent restaurants that don't allow Google Glasses, then don't go. Stop trying to change the rules just because they don't fit in with your lifestyle.

Jack, I didn't mention anything about changing rules to fit anyone's lifestyle? It's their business Read Moreand Yes they can do whatever they want. I have no issue with that. All I asked was Why was it banned when asked to remove them. Now did they have to give me a reason? No.. They could have just said "it's our business and that's the way it is" but, they didn't. That's when I learned that the manager had never even seen google glass in person or why all the fuss. All she had hear was that it was a privacy issue. So I demonstrated. Plain and simple. Showed her it's NOT what people thinking t is. A little education goes a long way. In the end it's still their business and my choice to dine. No big deal..

It strikes me as a mistake to discard books indiscriminately, and a careless waste to spend moneyRead Moreto have them hauled away as trash. There are organizations throughout the bay area looking for books to ship to worthy charities like this one: http://www.friendsofmalawi.org/get_involved/book_project.html Weeding is not napalming , and trashing is worse than recycling.

The problem with the Alameda County Library System is that they don't hire actual librarians toRead Moremake policy, perform acquisitions or reference duties, or even to work in branches. Case in point - the Alameda County branch in Newark is run by someone with a degree in public policy/administration. This is great for counting beans, but useless for any specific library functions.

Why is it that now when over 60% of Americans support legalizing marijuana, bona fide cannabisRead Morepatien ts still don't have "safe & legal access" to their doctor recommended medicine in Fremont ? Why are these callous political hacks still being allowed to put their own personal ill-conceived biases before the wants & needs of their constituents ? It's high time that we demand that these petty prohibitionists concede defeat & capitulate to the will of the people. San Jose has over one hundred medical marijuana dispensaries presently operating on a daily basis without any of the promised social or law-enforcement problems. So why in hell is one,one too many for Fremont ? Is that controversial enough for you Mr. Brazen ?

Christian "Family" Values are nothing more than a half-baked & hysterical hypothesisRead Morec ombined with the harebrained histrionics of haughty high-minded & hidebound holier-than-thou half-wits,hellbent on inflicting their hurtful, hateful & hypocritical hogwash upon the masses of far more intelligent heathens, hellions & hedonists !

All Christian values are is what we see at Thanksgiving and Christmas..it would be nice if we lived Read Morein that spirit of Jesus Christ everyday. I do not see that as threatening, but as something I work toward everyday...images like what we see on TV are destroying families and the good side of people. Living by the flesh is cool, I have done it. I guess, but life is easier; when we live to help others, free of judgement and evaluation. God Bless and have a great day. Talking about being a better person (ie values) are good for youth. Restlessness is a huge burden for youth...make their yoke easy and their burden light...filtering is good for children in my view. They have a long life...give them a foundation

Not all good people believe in God & those who believe in God are not all good people. TheRead Moredivin ely delusional deity devotees have no ownership of the moral high ground other than their claiming it as their own. Contrary to what they preach these religious fanatics are the most intolerant & divisive people in not only America, but every corner of our planet. More blood has been shed on this planet due to the idiocy & futility of religious strife than for any other reason. Here they continue to insist on inflicting their Iron Age idea of morality on a modern far more intelligent secular society whether we like it or not. There's no shame in saying that you're far too intelligent to put your faith in such far-fetched malarkey anymore,no matter how many have embraced it in the past. We shall overcome !!!
